About Us

Des Plaines Material & Supply is a premier landscaping and building material supply company in Des Plaines, Illinois. Since 2004, we have provided quality materials in a one-stop-shop style business. We stock many products, everything from landscaping supplies to sewer and water components. We supply topsoil, fertilizer, river rock, and more, both Bulk and bagged. We provide on-site concrete mixing for any job size. We also offer delivery of any product, as well as bulk material, by the pallet or truckload.

Our Story

Pat Mauro built Des Plaines Material and Supply from the ground up in 2004. After years of working at a sewer and water company, Pat became an expert in materials and had the vision to run his own business. He took a chance on an old brickyard in Des Plaines, Illinois, with a dream, dedication, and a small-but-hard-working staff, and transformed it into one of Illinois’ leading material supply stores. Since then, Des Plaines Material and Supply has seen steady growth as plumbers, landscapers, and builders all over the Chicagoland area have benefited from their services.

As a family-owned business, Des Plaines Material and Supply prides themselves on hard work and are dedicated to customer service.
